The new-for-2022 Patch Tyre Equipment Junior MINI Challenge is an exciting addition to the ICCR programme.
With the aim of producing stars of the future, the class allows drivers as young as 14 to cut their teeth on some of the country’s top circuits.
The R50 MINI Cooper was chosen for a variety of reasons. The road cars are plentiful and inexpensive, the spec has been proven elsewhere and anyone who has driven the initial test car has been hugely impressed.
Registered drivers, aged from 14 to 17, will avail of a number of promotions and initiatives from the series promotors, details of which will be released shortly.
David Travers, aged just 14 has won the 2022 Patch Tyre Equipment Junior MINI Challenge Scholarship.
